  • Mental health and crime are commonly intertwined. I would like to continue to expand the proper mental health tools and resources in both public safety and the detention facility.

  • Continue with the plan to fully deploy body worn cameras on all deputies across the agency (including in the courts and detention facility).

  • Create a diversion program in conjunction with the District Attorney’s Office to keep low-level offenders out of custody and into treatment to reduce recidivism across the county.

  • I am starting a new program in the detention facility to have real-time biometric information on all people in custody to monitor health and vitals.

  • I plan to continue to integrate new technologies and resources to help reduce crime and keep Arapahoe County one of the safest counties. Installing stationary FLOCK camera systems throughout the county will help achieve this goal.

  • Issuance of Colorado identification cards upon release from the detention facility. A big hindrance to people re-acclimating to life after release is not having a form of ID.
