As a 35 year servant in the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office and current Public Safety Bureau Chief, I am honored to endorse Sheriff Tyler Brown for re-election as Sheriff for Arapahoe County.  I have served under four administrations and can attest that Sheriff Brown is by far the most qualified candidate and best fit professional to serve as the Sheriff for Arapahoe County.

 

Contrary to the  partisan political endorsements for other candidates, Sheriff Brown has proven that he is the right person to be Sheriff.  Under Sheriff Brown’s leadership, he has proven he is committed to maintaining the highest standard of professional sheriff’s office services by leading the first law enforcement agency in the United States to attain the “Triple Crown status”  accreditation under a fourth sheriff.  This is an exemplary achievement which takes the commitment of the top executive to attain!

 

Under Sheriff Brown’s leadership the Sheriff’s Office has implemented a diverse array of programs which are not only tough on crime but also incorporate a progressive track toward proper treatment and services directed to improve public safety for Arapahoe County. Just a few of these programs include the creation of a Special Response Team to attack high and violent crime hot spots; an in-house co-responder program that sends licensed clinicians to mental health related calls with deputies to more appropriately handle mental health calls;  creating a Special Investigations Unit that merges pattern crime and narcotics investigators to attack pattern crimes and narcotics investigations to get guns and dangerous drugs like fentanyl off the street; and dedicating the resources to support the Office of Emergency Management in successful efforts to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure that Arapahoe County has sufficient resources in place to handle all man-made or natural disasters.

 

These are just a few of the many examples of why I hope you will join me in my support of Tyler Brown for Arapahoe County Sheriff.
